Our straight forward Admissions Process


Stroud High Sixth Form is an outstanding co-educational Sixth Form that welcomes boys and girls from over 30 different schools from across the county and beyond. It is accessible to you!

Entry Criteria
We offer opportunities for those students who achieve a minimum of 48 points taken from the sum of their best 8 full course GCSEs (for example a Grade 8 is equivalent to 8 points).

Students are also required to achieve a minimum Grade 6 in the subjects they wish to study at A Level (note for Modern Foreign Languages, the Sciences and Mathematics we require a Grade 7). 

Creative Scholarship
Students can apply for our Creative Scholarship which is a bespoke pathway for students studying 2 or more subjects from the following A Levels:
Art Fine
Art Graphics
Art Photography
Art Textiles
Drama & Theatre
DT-3D Product Design
Music

All students are expected to have a minimum of Grade 5 in both GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics, but students with a Grade 4 will be considered if they have met the 48 point threshold or the requirements of the Creative Scholarship.

Apply 2024 Entry

Our deadline for applications for 2024 entry was 2 February 2024. Please see below for information on how to submit a late application.

Informal chat

We will invite you to attend an informal discussion to talk about your A Level options and intended pathway.

Offer

We will send you a conditional offer confirming your A Level curriculum around Easter.

Enrol

You'll be invited to attend our Sixth Form Induction day on Wednesday 27 June 2024 to meet the team and other prospective Y12 students.

The deadline for submitting an application to join SHSF in
September 2024 was 2 February 2024.

We are still accepting applications but please note that the date of receipt will be taken into account should we need to implement our oversubscription criteria. Please see our Admissions Policy below.
